About Me

Hi! I’m so happy you are here! I’m Courtney, the face behind The Gathered Heart, a lifestyle blog focused on home decor and DIY. Let me tell you a little about my myself.

I was born and raised in southern Ontario and don’t see myself ever leaving. My family and friends are my world and I wouldn’t move unless they came with me. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since 2015 and we have two beautiful babies (they are 4 and 2, who gave them permission to grow up?!?). We also have two fur babies, a Golden Doodle and a Morkie. Guess you could say I have my hands full!

When I’m not busy chasing kiddos you can find me working on DIY projects, styling (or re-styling) my home, or shopping antique malls and thrift stores. Interior decorating is a creative outlet for me. I am very much a homebody so the look and feel of my home is very important to me. I love transforming our new build suburban home into a cozy haven for my family to make memories in. I’d love to help you do the same, without breaking the bank!
